Areas near the aircraft carrier are restricted under Chon Buri security measures and remain off-limits to the public, he added. The restriction applies to the public generally, meaning visitors should not travel to the port expecting access to the waterfront or areas close to the USS Abraham Lincoln. Increased patrols are operating inside the port, while entry rules have been reinforced following the vessel's arrival. Those interested in following the visit have been advised to rely on photographs, news coverage and other media updates rather than attempting to visit the restricted area.
