Will B Good 13356
First thoughts were mass hysteria......but I guess not with those symptoms. If only there was someway of finding what bacteria/virus might have caused their illness...........I guess we'll never know.
ThailandRyan 58121
And they said there was nothing to worry about....best get the iodine tablets the Russians may have on them to give to the students.
brianthainess 8074
You'd think local doctors would have been alerted by this alone, its possible one of the foundry workers wife's does his laundry, and then cooked the school lunches, cross contamination is perfectly feasible.

That's only for radioisotopes of iodine, because iodine is concentrated in the thyroid during production of thyroxin. Give a massive dose of non-radioactive iodine and it outcompetes the bad stuff. Iodine doesn't compete with cesium for anything, so it has no effect on Cs uptake in humans. Cs is more or less evenly distributed around the body. 1
