BANGKOK, April 5 (TNA) – The Meteorological Department issued a warning for summer storm in the upper part of the country from April 6-9.

The moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to the upper Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea with the southerly wind and the southeasterly wind will prevail over the upper country when Thailand experiences hot weather.

Outbreak of summer storms, gusty winds and hail will begin in the lower Northeast and the East at the first stage, then the rest regions. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage.

Affected areas are as followings:

On April 6, 2023

Northeast: Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.

East: Sa Kaeo, and Prachinburi.

How are people to know the status of billboards etc. ....................LOL

Hope we can get a few storms to settle the air down. Worst air pollution I've seen in the upper Nan River valley in the five years I've lived here. Today particularly bad.

Need a bit of the wet stuff to help the balmy afternoons pass.

You just know that rain - if any - will be blamed for the up and coming mass deaths in a week or so

Prevent crop damage?

Had one this afternoon, now very humid........????

Out here in rural Kamphaeng Phet we have only had 1.3 mm of rain this year so far.

The smoke saucer over Bangkok meant Bang Na hit 50 degrees yesterday!

Sounds about right , as I have just put the pump in the river and am

watering the garden , not easy moving a 3 inch pipe full of water

around ,would much to prefer it to rain,

Wow... we got lucky around Pattaya. A morning thunderstorm and a few hours rain and cloudiness kept it refreshing... most welcome.
