Hi there, I had to change my phone number recently and since then I don't get any SMS messages or texting. I need this as I used to get net codes for overseas money transfers. Thanks.

A really stupid question, but it has to be asked:-

Did you change your number at the places who will send texts? There, I've said it! :whistling:

Have you tried getting someone to text you as a test?

Maybe teaching grandma to suck eggs but…

If you can receive sms from somebody locally check what number you have given the banks including (& especially) the country code either +66 or 0066… (Oh & don’t forget to remove the leading zero from your number)

If you can’t receive SMS then talk to your Provider (actually if you can you might want to ask them whether your phone is set-up to receive international SMS).

And the overseas bank is aware that you have a new number?

Is your new number a Thai number?

Is it a VOIP number?

I notified my overseas bank of my Thai phone number change. It was accepted and my Thai number is in my overseas bank profile.

Have you verified that a Thai number can send you a text?

Yes it just cut out a few days ago.

They cancel your service if you don't top it up.  So the phone just freezes.  Just phone them and they will ask a list of idiotic questions and then fix it for you.
