This morning, while cleaning my patio, I found this beauty.
But a bunch of ants had murdered him/her before she could cross my patio.
It was about 40cm long when I found it.

It looks like some kind of dragon, but I don't know anything about tropic animals.
So, if somebody can tell me what kind of animal it was (before dying) and some details about it, I would like to hear it.

TIA

Oriental garden lizard

A cat probably killed it..not ants

Ants were just carting it away

If you leave it there you will see a bright white skeleton laid out where the lizard currently lies once the ants take away everything except the bones - they work fast.

It will likely be a shiny white pure skeleton by tomorrow. I saw one in the garden here myself.

Ants definitely didn't kill it - birds or cat.

Your patio seems to alive for my liking ????

I remember a strange sound at night.

Something like a cry for help.

Guess it was the dragon in a fight.

Damned cats, i hate them.

I love cats but they will decimate every lizard in the garden (geckos incl)

..and anything else that they can lay their paws on
