A video featuring a foreigner's Songkran mishap on TikTok garnered half a million likes and thousands of comments and shares.

 

Romain Herb had flown into Thailand to enjoy the Songkran festival, said Daily News.

 

But while enjoying the water splashing festivities in Bangkok his flip-flop got wrapped around his lower leg and he couldn't get it back in position.

The police, medical staff and several bystanders rushed to help until some vaseline was utilized to save the day!

 

The foreigner praised the Thais for all their kindness prompting an outpouring of national pride.

A pretty common occurence during Songkran according to news reports. I see it happened to some children as well.

Thailand is well known for BFFS (Bare Foot Full Service).

I thought the video was about the boy shooting himself in the foot..????
