Thai Charter Court rejects Transport Minister’s plea to withdraw injunction

The Constitutional Court has dismissed a petition, submitted on April 11th, from Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob seeking the withdrawal of an injunction ordering him to cease performing his duty as a minister on March 3rd.

In dismissing Saksayam’s petition, the court ruled that there is no additional evidence that would justify withdrawing the injunction.

Opposition MPs accuse Saksayam of holding a majority stake in the Buri Charoen Construction Limited Partnership, in violation of Section 187 of the Constitution and the law regarding shareholdings by ministers. They submitted a petition to the Constitutional Court through the House Speaker, demanding that he should be stripped of his ministerial portfolio.

Ah! The good old Constitutional Court. Seems they know which way the wind is blowing. I wonder if this means he loses his pension otherwise it doesn't really matter now. Is he running again or does this mean he can't? Don't know. How much corruption was involved when he was a minister and will he face charges?????

Suspended due to corruption, suck it up buttercup.

Seems that given time the vast majority of Thai politicians are revealed as having their hands in the trough.

What does a Transport minister do?  Ensure safety on the roads?  If so  public executions should be introduced for ministers who do not do their jobs.

Fear not. Anutin is steering the Transport ship.
