Government says household electricity charges will be eased

The government has offered an assurance that the electricity charge for households for May through August will be 4.77 baht per unit, instead of the 5.24 baht for the January-April period, according to Government Spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri.

Commerce Ministry Sees Higher New Business Registrations

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Commerce has reported about 9,200 new businesses were registered across Thailand in March, marking an 8% increase from February and a 28% increase from the same period last year.

Rice Export during First Two Months Increases by 38.2%

Changan Automobile to Invest 9.8 Billion Baht in EV Production Base in Thailand

Phi Phi police investigating drowned American man

Police on the tourist magnet island of Koh Phi Phi are investigating the death of an American man thought to have drowned. According to a Phuket Express report, the 51 year old, whose name is being withheld until family members have been notified, was visiting the popular Viking Cave at the time.

Police step in to rescue 9 year old walking 18km home after fleeing abuse

Police in the Isaan province of Udon Thani came to the aid of a vagrant nine year old boy attempting to walk 18 kilometres back home. The boy fled his home due to an allegedly abusive father and was living alone in an abandoned house.

Govt Sets Target of 4.4 Million Tons for Fresh, Processed Fruit Export in 2023

The event ended successfully with Wan Lai, or the Big Day, where Beach Road was partially turned into a walking street and was crammed with thousands of Songkran revelers marching through the street, helping pump money into the city.
