This is probably a regularly asked question, but can anyone tell me what's involved in importing a car/motorbike from Europe to Thailand. Shipping costs probably wouldn't be too bad but I heard there is a ridiculous import tax. So anyone done this?

At the bottom of the motoring forum is a search box, if you type in there you will find tons of threads of people who have done so, attempted to do so, or have given up trying to do so. My memory is the general consensus was "Don't bother".

can import engin, very simple, just have to import tax, about 35 % and than you are the owner.
