What are fun activities to do in Amnat Charoen for a 5-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl (both are Thai)?

Featured Replies

I'm trying to find some fun activities to do in Amnat Charoen for a 5-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl (both are Thai and speak Isan). Any suggestions?

Same as most places in TH, play games & watch vids on their phone/device.

Thanks, I'm looking for something outside home and more memorable, eg feeding the monkeys, play in waterfalls, go to some resort on the Mekong river, go to Ubon zoo, etc

I thought you meant 'that' province.

There's an Aquarium over @ Roi Et, and OK for the very young.  At the park, with the usually Swan paddle boats at the lake, same location.

Roi Et lake area is one of the better thought out uses of.  Probably rent bikes, and ride around the lake.  Plenty of small shops to pop into, get some ice cream or coffee/bev/cake.  A pleasant day can be spent there.

Apparently one @ Sisaket also, which we have not visited.

Why not try feeding the monkeys, play in waterfalls, go to some resort on the Mekong river, go to Ubon zoo to see chained up drugged animals, etc. Should keep them occupied for a day.

Then give them a phone to play with.   555

This place in Ubon maybe a little closer -- check that it's open

Yet, your OP says "to do in Amnat Charoen" ????

I’ve taken kids around that area, and they usually love simple stuff like the lake park near the city, feeding fish at temples, or an afternoon at one of the small community pools. At home, a trampoline has been a solid hit for burning energy, and the enclosures make it feel safe enough for the younger ones. For short attention spans, it’s been a real win on quiet days.
