Lampang: Police Chief Investigates Disturbing Disappearance of Teen Connected to Brutal British-Thai Boy's Murder

Major General Wirachon Boonthawee, the Deputy Police Chief of Provincial Police Region 5, is leading an intense search for Nong Pong. She's a 16-year-old girl who has been missing for five days from Lampang Province.

 

The case has become more urgent because of a sad discovery: a young boy named Ben, who is half-Thai and half-British, was found dead. Ben was the last person seen with Nong Pong, reported Thai Rath.

On the afternoon of May 11, 2023, Major General Boonthawee gathered officials in Lampang to talk about how the search for Nong Pong was going. Even though many investigators are working hard to find Nong Pong, they haven't found her yet.

 

Nong Pong's grandfather, Mr. Charoon Anan Ua, who is 79 years old, shared how worried the family is. They have asked everyone they know for information, but no one knows where Nong Pong might be.

Mr. Charoon said, "We're doing everything we can to keep her safe. We're grateful to the police and other officials who are working non-stop to find our granddaughter."

 

Meanwhile, a 44-year-old man named Mr. Chaiwat Bunkarin, or Wat, is in jail. He's been charged with killing Ben and trying to hide his body.

Wat was arrested because of a warrant from the Lampang Provincial Court.

 

However, in court, Wat didn't share any information about where Nong Pong might be. As the search for Nong Pong continues, the investigation into what happened is getting more intense

Maybe the boy was witnessing something with his murderer and his girlfriend. and to prevent that he would betray him he had to be killed too.. It is a very strange story that the girlfriend is not showing up, as her boyfriend is killed. and nobody know where she is..

Yes maybe use an old tactic from BKK BIB..hold him by the ankles over an open window on the 10th floor and ask him where she is.Maybe his memory will improve. Perps have been know to commit suicide in some cases. Its been in the BKK Post before.

And why is this case, and Ben's murder, not in the local English newspapers? 

My heart goes out to all the family members and friends of these young kids.

I think it's great in murder investigations when the perps commit suicide, the sooner the better. Saves all the time and expense of a trial and it brings at least some satisfaction that justice has been served to the victims' families.

You must be reading the wrong papers. It has been reported in a number of different newspapers in the UK.

In one of them, the accused, just out of gaol for sex crimes,  is reported to have known the missing girl for some time.

Maybe Ben was murdered for taking her away from him???

A 16-year-old girl can't survive an hour without her phone, let alone a week on the run without any contact with friends, relatives or people. Which indicates she's probably dead.

I believe the poster means places like the Bangkok Post, semi-defunct Khaosod English or 'Coconuts' (though that site is more like a teenage blog for paid restaurant promotions).

If she witnessed the murder and was taken away by the perp then it doesn't look good.

Only if you can be 100% certain and if found to be innocent then all involved in the execution should also be killed and then if he/she is found to be guilty after all then those who killed the executioners are themselves killed and on and on it goes. Its a deep dark hole!!!

It's been in the BBC online news. Wife has been reading about it online with interest as we also have a 16 year old son, she says some reports say he was selling class A drugs for the perp but not giving him the money.

He is already admitted the first murder would have thought the police would encourage him to speak up one way or the other ????

Murder is pretty heinous, but I think you are correct. What he may have done to the girl before he might have killed her could be real nasty.

Subsequently, Maj. Gen. Mongkhon Sampawaphol, Chief of Police, Lampang Province Pol. Col. Komsan Saardluan, deputy commander of Police Station, Lampang Province, Pol. Col. Charan Suwanwet, Superintendent of Police Station, Pol. Col. Kritsada Pongsuwan. Ko Kha Police Station immediately went to the suspected area
and from the inspection Has informed Father Suphot, father of Nong Ping Pong to confirm that the body of Nong Pong was actually buried which the probation officer together with a forensic physician The cause of death will be investigated further.
In which Nong Pong, 16 years old, is a friend of Mr. Ben. A 17-year-old half-breed man, a resident of Sop Prap District, Lampang Province, who was killed by Mr. Chaiwat or Wat, 44 years old, Villager 7, Mae Ta Subdistrict, Mae Tha District, Lampang Province, murdered brutally in a copious forest on the side of the Mae Tan-Sop Prap Road, Moo 9. Sandon Kaew, Mae Tha District, Lampang Province, without saying a word about where Nong Pong is. Until yesterday (May 12, 2023), the officials received important clues. That the villain brought the body to dispose of it in the checkpoint area after the turn Contact Ban Hat Pu Yai, Na Saeng Sub-district, Koh Kha District, and found the body of Nong Pong Pong, a total of 7 days that Pong Pong disappeared.
However, the police will investigate Mr. Wat whether there are any more accomplices to the crime and to investigate the cause of the murder Nong Ping Pong more and will wait for the police to conclude the case and Press release next time.

1. I said "perp" (short for perpetrator) not defendant. A perpetrator is by definition guilty, so there is no question that they may be innocent. 

2. As far as I know, a suicide is not an execution, ergo there is no executioner to be killed in your idiotic scenario.
