Pattaya — A reporter in Pattaya filed a complaint to police alleging he was threatened by a loan shark gang after he warned them not to litter loan flyers in front of his residence.

Mr. Buronsak Bunnodyom, a 46-year-old Thai local news reporter in Pattaya, who has provided freelance news to The Pattaya News previously, reported the incident to Pattaya Police yesterday, May 30th, stating he was threatened by members of a loan shark gang within Soi 9 in Central Pattaya, Banglamung District, Chonburi province.

He said the incident happened in the morning of May 29th. While he was parking his vehicle in front of his residence, he noticed two young men on a black Honda Wave motorcycle entering the alley and starting throwing loan flyers in front of every house they passed within the alley.

While they were approaching Mr. Buronsak’s house, the reporter said he shouted to them that he didn’t want them littering the flyers in front of his house.

Brave man, well done

These flyers/business cards get thrown all over the street... I could live with it if simply put into mail boxes.

Then it rained the drains got blocked with flyers the whole area flooded and the beach disappeared if only there was a strongarm mayor to put a stop to police activity ????

Get off the Honda Wave... that's a big ask

There is NO police activity unless it brings in baht.  Forget law enforcement; serving and protecting on the roads, Pattaya Plod is the least effective force in the land.

Loan sharks are nothing more than a mafia, and I thought they were illegal, will the RTP investigate after all RTP we don't want mafia groups here do we, like those bars paying monthly protection money, have you stopped doing  that yet?
