The Former parliament president  Chuan Leekpai said 
The ongoing controversy between Move Forward and Pheu Thai  parties over who should hold the parliament president’s post is hardly surprising since both are not far apart in the polls,  both consider they have a legitimate right to propose their own candidate for the role of speaker of the House of representatives,  
A vote is expected to be held on July 26, eight days before the new prime minister is formally elected in parliament. 

 

A 26-year-old man from South Korea, identified as Mr Kim, has been apprehended in Jomtien, south of Pattaya, due to his alleged involvement in drug offenses.            

Police say Mr. Kim used the Telegram application to communicate with his clientele and distribute drugs at entertainment establishments. And that  the suspect was also involved with smuggling drugs from Thailand to South Korea. 

 

A young Chinese couple living in a 67-million-baht house in Bangkok were arrested yesterday for alleged multinational fraud, with damages estimated at 10 billion baht,  Officers impounded 1.5 million baht in cash, the title deeds for the house, ownership documents for four apartments in the Sukhumvit area worth a  128 million baht, and 14 Bearbrick dolls.  
Both face charges of public fraud and money laundering.


The government has established a panel responsible for formulating regulations. 
to ensure compliance with the Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Enforced Disappearance Act,
The deputy prime minister emphasized the importance of implementing standard operating procedures. The regulations would address data storage concerns, including authorization, access, and utilization. It is anticipated that data will be kept on a central database.

A Malaysian climber survived after a Nepali sherpa guide hauled him down from below the summit of Mount Everest in a “very rare” high altitude rescue, 


The 30 year old sherpa was guiding a Chinese client to the summit on May 18th when he saw the Malaysian climber clinging to a rope and shivering from extreme cold in the area called the “death zone”
The sherpa hauled the climber down 600m over a period of about six hours, where the climber was picked up by helicopter.
