Pattaya City Police officers last night raided an unlicensed karaoke bar, catching five Myanmar nationals working there without the proper permits. The police have charged the bar’s caretaker and the five employees with various legal violations, including operating without official permission and selling alcohol unauthorised.

 

During the operation, led by Surachet Eneksri, the deputy chief of Pattaya City Police Station, and Pichit Chamhuap, an officer from Pattaya City Police Station, law enforcement inspected the “Saikheng Karaoke” located on Soi Ko Phai, Pattaya South, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chon Buri. The authorities targeted the establishment for operating beyond legal hours without obtaining proper licences and selling alcohol unauthorised.

 

Upon entry, the police found the bar functioning as a typical karaoke venue, complete with customers dancing and consuming alcohol. Officers immediately ordered the suspension of all activities, turning off the music and switching on the lights to check identification cards and search for illegal items. No drugs were detected in any of the patrons’ urine tests conducted on the premises.
