Bangkok taxi app

Featured Replies

What is the easiest/best Bangkok taxi app at the moment?

None are difficult, "best" is subjective and depends on whether you want the "best" app or the "best" taxi service, I suppose.

I use Grab. Works well and fares reasonable.

Thanks.

BOLT - cheaper (about 1.5x flagfall) & usually less than half of grab, but sometimes (often harder to get) accepts cash only. Not as good of a location encyclopaedia as GRAB.

GRAB - 2-3x the cost of BOLT or flagfall, but more reliable. Can register a credit card (not sure if it’s Thai cc only or int’l too)

Both have a user friendly app.

I usually try BOLT first & if not available go for GRAB (which ends up being most of the time).

I usually look at both Bolt and Grab. It only takes an extra couple of minutes and sometimes Bolt can be a lot cheaper. Probably because Grab charges more, they seem to have more taxis. InDrive is another option.

International credit cards are fine. Some people occasionally have had trouble registering them, but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

I've found that Grab is quite expensive so would like to try other platforms.

Bolt looks interesting.

How have your experiences been with these?:

AirAsia
Cabb

Robinhood

Muvmi

The government had also offered one didn't they?

Line Man.  Standard meter rates plus the LM THB 20 booking fee.  Way cheaper than Grab.
