Chiang Rai Bikers

Featured Replies

Hi Chiang Rai forum

I am a keen biker (motorised versions), into Harleys etc and will be in the city with my girlfriend seeing family in the next few months. Does any one know of and bike cahapers or groups that ride out or hangout at any particular drining holes. Have been to Phuket and Hong Kong and met some good friends in "The Handle Bar"............... wondered if there is anything similar happening in Chaing Rai.

Also anybody know where I could hire a big bike for a couple of weeks.

Cheers

Dear Yorkieb,

Please have a look at this older thread:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?sh...l=black+rabbits

There is no particular shop where you can rent big road bikes, but I am sure you will manage to rent one anyhow.

There are at least three 'shops' selling big bikes. In one of these shops a friend rented one before.

I would recommend a little place at Por Khun Road, coming from the monument of King Mengrai going to Ban Panjamorn after two, maybe three kilometers at your right.

HD's will be difficult though.

Good luck!

PS: There is one HD with a 2000 cc S&S engine in town and some 'fat boys'.

Yorkie, check out www.gt_rider.com they have info on bikes for hire and routes to take etc. An excellent source of info. ENJOY :o
