These battery connectors & how do they mate?

So do you just push them into each other?

I've tried with light pressure, but they don't seem to want to mate.

They're a solid connection, so will require a good push to engage (and to separate...)

The big ones used on fork trucks and the like are very reliable and need a good pull to disconnect.

 

As with all DC connections, don't disconnect when under load!!
