One Year Visa, Non O, Married But No Income

Featured Replies

Soon I need to renew my One Year Visa Non O.

I have Thai wife and I am under 50.

So far I showed every year the usual 400'000 Baht in my Bank account.

Now, they want see Income.

I do not work, I do not have Income.

I have assets from where I live of.

Neither does my wife work.

Anybody has similar Problems?

And got anybody ideas how to get around this 'show Income' stuff now?

The regulations concerning marriage visas (non-immigrant 'O') have changed and applicants must show a regular income (foreign or domestic) rather than the pile of money that previously qualified.

Which Immigration office is this?

The rules clearly say that if you had an extension based on marriage before October 2006 based on 400k in the bank, you can get a new extension on the same basis. Don't let them force you into changing to income if you don't want to change.

The website you quote has incomplete information.
