PHEU THAI PRIME-MINISTERIAL CANDIDATE Srettha Thavisin will likely be taken to task over tax evasion allegations pertaining to his real estate dealings very shortly, according to political activist Chuwit Kamolvisit.

 

Known as personally associated with deposed prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, the real estate tycoon-turned-prime-ministerial candidate has allegedly conspired with a few Indian and Chinese nationals to evade taxes for property dealings in Bangkok and elsewhere, Chuwit charged.

 

In the upcoming Friday’s joint House/Senate meeting, Srettha will likely be questioned by some lawmakers over under-the-table shenanigans and legal loopholes through which he had allegedly evaded taxes for his property businesses.

But....apparently nothing wrong with evading taxes when selling land. Prayuth said so when he sold 600 million baht of his land to a private company based in the British virgin Islands , set up only a week before the transaction and no other business on the books.

I think that every Senator and every PM candidate will have skeletons in their closet. If every candidate's past is examined, the 10 months will be up by the time they find a suitable candidate, if they ever do.

Unfortunately, those to whom this applies are mercilessly sawed off and disqualified, from the group of dirty politicians, who have skeletons in the closet.

And while we are on the subject on the Thaksins, Isn’t Yingluck in reality Thaksin’s daughter, not sister? I am just asking, because who has a sister who is 18 years younger than you? That was a rumor going around for a while anyway…

Listening to all the expats moaning about how dishonest Thai policiticians are, you'd wonder why they ever left their home countries to live here when politicians back home are so honest. Where is that paradise?
