Eddie45
Does anybody know if Vietnam is okay with staying 3 months on a tourist visa and then flying out for a few days and coming back and staying another 2 months. Thinking about staying in Thailand for 5 months a year and then Vietnam for another 5 months. Was going to stay in Thailand for 12 months of the year until they decided to change there tax laws. Trying not to stay 6 months in 1 spot as dont want to become a resident.

I've gone to the other link you posted immigration.gov.vn and it says takes 3 working days. Is this all you have to do as my friend is in Vietnam now and he said he had to get an invitation letter first? Any help appreciated as there are so many links for evisa I can't tell which is the correct one and I'm trying to go next week Edited November 4, 2023 by Pattaya57
Felton Jarvis
How many times can the 3 month visa be renewed from inside Vietnam? Not interested in doing visa runs.

Says you need to leave and come back with new e-visa
GypsyT
My Vietnam friend is monitoring eVISA rules and what's going on and recently she reported "many Americans are coming in with 3 mo visas". Maybe rules are relaxing and system gets easy to use - finally. If I were in Asia I'd test drive the rules but I'm back to the US. https://www.vietnam-visa.com/guide/united-states/
