Visa-Exempt entry to Vietnam extended from 15 to 45 days for most of Western Europe, Japan and South Korea starting August 15 2023

Very good news !

All the following countries now have 45 days visa-exempt entry on arrival.

On top of that it is allowed to exit and re-enter Vietnam on the same day! There used to be a requirement of 30 days out of Vietnam before re-entering on visa-exempt entry but it has been explicitly lifted.

Sounds like good news but just to be sure as a UK passport holder i don't now need any sort of visa to enter Vietnam for a holiday under 45 days?

Is this still valid?

I have a UK passport and will be visiting Vietnam for 5 days. Flying direct to Da Nang from Bangkok.

It was in June. Da Nang, 45 days on entry.

Perfect thank you.

Anyone know when Vietnam will forgive the 1960's and early '70's? USA, Australia and New Zealand still all require a visa while others are free to roam 😉
