On August 21, 2023, the Investigation and Suppression Division, in conjunction with Suvarnabhumi Airport Customs, led by Mr. Thawal Rodjit, and Ms. Nittaya Thiangtongphinyo, discovered suspicious Peruvian passengers arriving via Air France from Lima, changing planes in Paris, destined for Suvarnabhumi Airport.

 

A male Peruvian passenger was found carrying concealed liquid cocaine packages, totaling 2,280 grams valued at approximately 6.84 million Baht, reported Siam Rath.

 

This action violates Sections 242, 252, 166, and 167 of the Customs Act of 2560 and the Narcotic Control Act of 2564.

 

On August 23, 2566, the Customs Department spokesperson, Mr. Phan Thong Loi Kulnan, announced that Mr. Pachara Anantasilp, the Director-General of the Customs Department, emphasized the societal protection mission against illegal smuggling and drug trafficking.

Peruvian man caught in Bangkok Airport: Tourist’s cocaine-smuggling scheme foiled

Thai authorities apprehended a Peruvian man at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok on Monday after the foreigner smuggled cocaine into the country.

 

Thai Customs Department spokesperson Phanthong Loykunlanan yesterday made a report regarding the arrest of the Peruvian man on Monday, August 21. He reported that the authorities received a tip-off on a suspicious passenger aboard an Air France airline. The passenger reportedly journeyed from the Peruvian capital, Lima, and later transited in Paris, France, en route to Bangkok.

 

Upon the suspect’s arrival, airport staff members closely monitored each passenger until they spotted the suspicious Peruvian man, whose identity was not disclosed. The scanning of his backpack yielded no illicit results. However, a full-body scan of the South American revealed some suspicious items inside his body, identified as 10 packs of liquid cocaine, weighing 2,280 grammes, and valued at over 6.8 million baht.

The liquid cocaine was packed in four condoms. Details of how the man hid the drugs were not clarified by the authorities.

2268 grams = 2.27 kg of liquid, so each of the four condoms inside the guy each contained more than a half kilo of liquid.  Yeah right....

 

Perhaps the authorities can demostrate how to ingest (and then subsequently recover) a single condom containing over a half liter of fluid.

Poor reading abilities their were 10 packs each wrapped in 4 condoms . So 226.8 grams in each.

Ok....227 grams in ml is about the same size as what is contained in a can of coke nowdays.  I am happy for a demonstration of how a condom filled with liquid and the size of a coke can can be ingested and then retrieved.

Ok the guy had 10 condoms filled with liquid, each one roughly the size of a coke can inside him.  How did the Thai authorities get them out of him?

 

Or perhaps this mule was specially selected by the drug cartel because he can hang coke can size turds. And ten of them in a row moreover.

It said in the article that they were tipped off and we’re looking for Peruvian, man and other news the guy carrying the big shipment got away clean

Maybe the Peruvian man kept his gear in the same place Pooh Bear keeps his honey ????

Why do people even bother to do coke in Thailand?

More likely the Tuk Tuk guy will lie to you and sell you pure Heroin, because that's what they have around here.

If you want coke go to Columbia or Peru.  You can buy a bag the size of a baby sock for 1000B and it's pure, because they don't bother cutting it there.

P.S. You can get $1 a hit Mexican cartel Yaa Baa in California now, so there's no need to do that here, either.

As the items were liquid I don't think he stuffed them up somewhere, rather he swallowed them.

If it wasn't for the "tip-off" he likely would have got through customs.
