Prime minister Mr Srettah Thavisin received a royal endorsement  yesterday afternoon, making him Thailand's 30 Prime minister.


PM Sretha vowed to work transparently and tirelessly for the people of Thailand, he also expressed gratitude to the 11 coalition parties that backed the Phua Thai party’s campaign.  

 

Parliaments deputy speaker of the house may be prosecuted under the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act,
Mr Padipat, who is also a Move Forward MP from Phitsanulok is accused of promoting a brand of beer after a video showed him raising a glass of a local brew. Mr Padipat denied his action was promoting beer. 

 

Police say they will issue summonses for 31 people including a well known actress for allegedly purchasing cyanide illegally from the same source as the woman known as miss cyanide, she will also be charged and is accused of murdering 14 people. 

 

The proposed second phase of the Thai-Chinese high-speed train project is due to go to the government for approval before the end of the year. 


The 356 kilometer second phase is estimated to cost some 300 billion baht, with 185 kilometers at ground level, 171 kilometers will be elevated with five stations.

 

Health authorities say 2 cases of MPox have been confirmed in Chaingmai, while more than 5,000 people have contracted dengue fever so far this year, this compares with around 1,000 for the whole of last year.

N Korea:  North Korea's second attempt to place a spy satellite in orbit failed earlier today after the third stage rocket booster experienced a problem.


The country’s first try in May also ended in failure when rocket crashed into the sea.
