Thai police have arrested four men accused of selling a gun to the 14-year-old who carried out a shooting attack at Siam Paragon mall that left two people dead.


officers say they know the shooting range where the 14-year-old practiced and the instructor who oversaw his training.

 

Mr Prasert, the Digital Minister, announced a trial of an emergency mobile SMS alert system currently underway at Government House, marking the first such a system in Thailand. He added that the system is expected to rapidly reach millions of mobile phone users during emergency situations in the future.

 

A Suvarnabhumi airport baggage checker was suspended for failing to inspect a bag containing smuggled animals. Some of which escaped, causing disruption on a flight Bangkok to Taipei. During the flight, a passenger spotted a rat, leading cabin staff to discover an otter under a passengers seat.


CCTV revealed the employee's failure to inspect the flagged suspicious bag. 

 

Police say they received over 356 thousand complaints over the last 18 months from people who have been scammed, the total value of losses are estimated to be 45.7 billion baht, with most cases related to online shopping. Other cases involved investment scams, threats and scams by call centres and impersonating peoples identities.  

 

Bangkok’s City Council gave its approval to replace all fossil fuel-powered public buses with electric vehicles by 2030.


The Move Forward councillor for Bang Sue had urged members to pass the regulation, which would effectively tackle fine-dust particles in the capital and promote cleaner air for more than 10 million residents.
