DETAILED investigation by the Police Forensic Science Office of Siam Paragon mall where a 14-year-old suspect went on a shooting spree last Tuesday (Oct. 3) showed that 40 rounds were fired from mezzanine to ground then second and third floor with most bullets fired at the latter two floors, Amarin TV said Friday (Oct. 6).

The shooting by the teenager who has been ordered into juvenile detention left two persons dead, both women one from China and the other Myanmar, and five others injured.

Investigation also showed that of the 40 bullets fired 11 hit the two women who died and those injured.

Bullet casings were found scattered around these four floors but mostly on the second and third floors.

You can get ammo like candy in Thailand.

Same as home-made weapons.

Ban, control all the legal ones you want, that's not the real problem.

40 rounds from an air pistol purchased on line? Who did the conversion? A 9mm? Scary...

Not an air pistol ... a modified blank gun .

Looking on the bright side...

He was a lousy shot.

I've posted before, after one of the US mass shootings, about the Americans insisting that the right to carry guns is in the constitution. And that the constitution doesn't cover the right to own bullets, so ban their sale. End of problem. Hundreds, thousands of lives saved every year, tens of thousands of family members not left grieving. If people insist on killing, they can use knives as they do in the UK. Much more difficult to kill multiple people with a knife.

I'm surprised (and impressed) that a converted pistol could fire forty odd rounds of standard 9mm without bursting or malfunction with multiple magazine changes and am suspicious of the official account.
