Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin for an official visit next year. The invitation comes despite an arrest warrant for Mr Putin issued by the international criminal court.  


Thailand is not a signatory to extradition by the International Criminal Court. ,  and opted to maintain relations with Russia. 

 

Prime Minister Srettha gave a speech at the ‘Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, saying:  Thailand is a firm believer in the sustainability agenda. He went on to offer a series of proposals to create partnerships that generate sustainable, inclusive, and equitable growth.

 

The Central Bankruptcy Court has granted an absolute receivership order against eleven key members of the disbanded 'People Alliance for Democracy.' 


The order is the result of the bankruptcy lawsuit filed by the ‘Airports of Thailand’ which has been seeking compensation for damages caused by the groups occupation of Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports in  2008 

 

The city of Pattaya has lodged a legal complaint against businesses accused of encroaching on forest land on Koh Lan island. The city was informed about the encroachment by a local NGO and has taken legal action, demanding an immediate halt to the intrusion.

Malaysia: The founder of the suspended budget carrier “MYAirline’  has been arrested, Last week, MYAirline abruptly halted operations citing financial pressures, less than a year after it began flying.

 

The founder and major shareholder Allan Hua, his 55-year-old wife and 26-year-old son were all arrested under Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing laws.
