Thailand’s Supreme Administrative Court has upheld the Central Administrative Court’s decision to order the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to disclose to anti-graft activist Veera Somkwamkid details of its investigation into over 20 luxury wristwatches, seen being worn in public by former Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan.

The Supreme Court’s decision in the case between Veera and the NACC was read this morning (Friday) by the Central Administrative Court.

After the NACC ruled by 5:3 votes in December 2018 to clear Prawit of making a false assets declaration to the anti-graft watchdog, the anti-corruption activist took the wristwatch scandal, implicating Prawit, to the Central Administrative Court, seeking disclosure by the NACC of its findings and a summary of the opinions of each commissioner, under the Official Information Act.

Will they also disclose the overseas assets of all 2,200 generals and members of the Prayuth administration? Penthouses in NY, Swiss lakefront chalets, overseas bank and investment accounts? How about some real investigative reporting?

Its taken years after many official committee and court cases to find details of Prawits hidden assets.

Funny how Pitas shares in a defunct company where disclosed

In a matter of days when he became a threat to the  crooks now in power.

Didn’t they all belong to a dead neighbor TIT

I wish too but never going to happen as long as defamation law exists.

If that swindled money had been spread amongst the Thai citizens, millions, maybe tens of millions, would be lifted out of poverty. Instead, the greedy few have taken more than they would ever need to live on.

NACC responds...

"What "findings"?

......and that's what it's all about! 🎶:jap:

But but, he said he borrowed them from a Dead neighbor.🤪

I'm Still waiting for declared assets after the Ex PM and all his cohorts left Govt. Not a single word on that. Also where is Prayuth living now? is he still in his free barrack housing? again not a word on that gem.

I see no evil - on my wrist!!

Someone should buy the old codger a basic Casio with an alarm function given how often he falls asleep on official business.

A timeless classic to be read by future generations....Soon to be a major motion picture starring Oliver Hardy as the Brown Bladder. 🤣

His "Dead-Friend" loaned him a bunch of 1M THB watches don't 'cha know?
Prawit is as pure as the wind-driven snow.

It's not difficult to find the owner of expensive watches is it just send the serial number each manufacturing company,it will be registered in the owners name.

End of, job done.

Investigative journalism. A distinguished entity these days.

And, on the more than few occasions that it does pop it's head up here or there, it's almost always squelched and twisted by establishment forces. Appears to be the projected norm the world over.

Dumbing down is the accepted comfort.

There is a vast difference between defamation (which are laws written by cowards, for cowards), and blatant corruption and a mass theft of the treasury.

Perhaps in his lakefront villa in Switzerland, that he bought with payoffs from his cronies, who where the only ones not required to shut down during covid?
