The government is considering offering tax incentives for companies that provide financial aid to reduce fine particulate matter or PM2.5, caused by forest fires. 


The department identified the top 10 national parks and 10  forests with a record of damage caused by fires. 


Pollution is expected to cover much of  the central and northern regions from November through until March due to a longer period of drought due to the El Nino weather pattern.

 

A 29 year old Spanish chef accused of murdering and dismembering the body of a 44-year-old Colombian surgeon, in Koh Phangan,on August 2nd. Was due to appear in court today in Koh Samui , charges include: premeditated murder, concealment, hiding, transportation, or destruction of a corpse with the intent to obscure the cause of death.

 

The Deputy Interior Minister’s son-in-law has resigned from his position as mayor following his arrest for alleged extortion in Uthai Thani on Tuesday. 


He was charged and released on bail. along with four others, for allegedly extorting 600,000 baht from a tap water supplier.  

 

The Thailand office of Facebook said it will work with authorities and others to combat online fraud and scams.


The offer came yesterday during an educational discussion with local media and public sector partners.

 

The 34.5-kilometre Pink Line monorail, connecting Min Buri in east Bangkok and Nonthaburi, is due to open on the 18th November, the service will operate free for the first month; the pink line has 30 stations.
