johnson36
Hi Ive been married to my Thai wife for nearly 3 years, we got married in the UK. We have been together about 5 years and she been in UK over 4 years. We are looking to move to Thailand at the end of next year. What is my best visa options ? is there something better than the Non-Immigrant Visa with multiple entries ? ( 4 x 90 days ) Does the fact that I am married to a Thai give me another option ? Mahout Angrit
With a non Imm visa you can apply for an extention of 1 year once in Thailand based on being married to a Thai and showing a family income of B40,000 pm. If you are over 50 you can extend the same visa for 1 year based on retirement and having B800,000 in a Thai bank account. Search out this forum as these options have been frequently discussed. Is the 1 year extension also 4 x 90 day ? Cheers
Maestro
3—4 weeks before your extension of stay expires you can apply at any Immigration office in Thailand for a new annual extension. Then repeat this procedure every year. If you wish to travel outside Thailand, you must get a re-entry permit, again from the Immigration office, in order to keep your annual extension alive. -- Maestro
