The Move Forward Party has demanded that Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin change his mind and support its bill seeking to dissolve the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC). 


Move Forward  wants the bill to be sent to the House of Representatives for deliberation.  

 

The provincial prosecutor in Songkhla  filed a report with police after receiving a life-threatening letter from a close friend of a prisoner who escaped from Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital last week... 


The handwritten letter demanded the return of money to the prisoner who has since fled to Malaysia. 


Two others have been arrested in connection with the case.

 

The Ministry of Digital Economy has launched an Anti Online Scam Operation Center, a one-stop service to assist scam victims. In the period from March 1 last year to September 30 this year, there were over 330,000 cybercrime cases, resulting in 45 billion baht damages. The center's goal is to reduce online scams within a month.

 

Five senior police officers, previously reinstated following their transfer to inactive posts after the discovery of an illegal casino in their area., have been suspended again. This happened after officials discovered an unlicensed pub serving underage customers celebrating Halloween after hours. An investigation is underway into the  pub's operation.

 

The National Electric Vehicle Policy Committee  has decided to reduce subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles from the current 150,000 baht to 100,000 baht. Chinese EV makers, including BYD and Great Wall Motors, plan to invest 1.4 billion dollars in new production facilities in Thailand. 


EV’s are estimated to make up 8.7 percent of vehicle sales by the end of the year.
