thomo
Yup. It's a 'superfood'. It's got all the minerals and vitamins known to man. Can get it in powder/capsule or tablet form. Smells tho'. As will your farts. Am exporting the stuff from China at the mo'. The farm in CNX (under the GD 1 brand) is good stuff, one of the best selling brands in Asia simply due to that the capsule is actually made of the stuff too. But is marginally more expensive than others. Some people eat nothing else. Try and get a bag of the powder, go hel_l for leather for a month and see how good you look/feel afterwards. Really helps give people a healthy 'glow/radiance'.
goforit
There is no doubt some people gain a benefit from taking spirulina and even refer to it as a superfood. Others swear by chlorella or blue green algae as the wonder green food to take. The truth of the matter, is, none of the above are a panacea for optimal health and you would likely be better served spending your money on other nutritional products such as a good multi-vitamin/mineral, possibly an omega 3/omega 6 fish oil capsule and 1 or two other specialty supplements, depending on your current health situation. For general good health, most people do better by cutting back on any refined products, limiting their intake of carbohydrates , and even reducing the amount of some fruits due to the high fructose content (sugar). Everyone gains by increasing the amount of vegetables - especially the green variety. Garlic, onions, cayenne pepper and tumeric are all proven food items with many health benefits. Drink several cups of green tea a day (not the canned stuff) and cut back or eliminate soft drinks and fruit juices as well. Anyone worried about diabetes can usually get outstanding results by taking about 3 grams of cinnamon a day with their meals. Substitute potatoes by steaming some pumpkin/squash, add butter, a little salt, some cayenne pepper, tumeric powder and cinnamon - mash it all up and voila - a very tasty and super healthy dish. I also recommend avoiding soybean and corn oil to cook with. Better oils are rice bran or palm oil, or use butter instead. Also, cook with the oil only one time and then throw it out. Has lots of alkalizing nutrients, vitamins and enzymes. With the farm outside CM its pretty cheap. I can find it at Ban Suon Pak store which is near the Presidential hotel for about 1000 baht per kilo. cheaper than a lot of other supplements and tastes good. Easy to mix in with a smoothie or juice. enjoy
