Since March 86.

Oh…just about 15.5 yrs before I left Thailand for a greener pasture

Arrived Dec 2000 for a 2 week contract to the oil sector. Stayed and worked on a 28 day cycle rotating between BKK - Offshore and Isaan until Aug 2003. Retired to Isaan full time since then.

Now in my 23rd year could never imagine living anywhere else ....... until this year. A sign of changin times???

Perpetual visitor since 1978. Making it permanent (retirement) this year to Phuket.

December 1994, no regrets yet!

i visited for work a few times over the past few years, and been for a few holidays in bangkok and pattaya.

cant imagine living there though as there is a good supply of thai girls here in singapore without the third-world problems

I've visited on holiday a few times a year for the last few years.

With all the changes going on in the country I sure am glad of all the experienced folks around here to forewarn me of any potential problems. I also feel experienced enough to help out others with their problems too.

November .................. 1971

Where DOES the time go!

Wow, that's the year I started school.

1992 for me, but permanently in 1995.

I have an Amerian mate who moved here in 1958 - the longest I know of.

First came here in 1999. Met my current wife and came and went the first 3 years , have not been back to homecountry

5 years now . But regard myself to be in Thailand 8 years now .

1-1/2 years. I couldn't vote. The poll goes from "under one year" to 2-3 years!!??

Some 30 years, on and off.

Just went through some photos of my first trip to Thailand, Patong Beach - Phuket.

On 2 of the photos there was NOBODY on the beach; on 1 of them I counted 3 people.

Time: between 10.00 and 11.00 AM...

Absolute Paradise...Those were the days :o

I'm in my 5th year.

First came to visit my Son who was living in BK.

He's still there

I moved over in 1991. Left because of the economic crash, stayed in California for two years and came back here. Lasted two years here and decided that my money wasn't going to be enough. Went back to California to work for three more years until I was sure I had enough money to stay permanently. I'm not planning to leave again.

Still new .. going to 4 years .. i think :o
