chrissables
Today I woke up to rain here in Chiang Rai, so I had a lazy morning before riding around Nong Bua Lake which is the area where Chiang Rai Rajabhat University is based. https://maps.app.goo.gl/xkGAnayWLNkEt7Fr7 https://www.relive.cc/view/v36AG7DQBGv
Popular Post chrissables
Today I rode back to Nong Luang lake to complete my ride that got rained off a few days ago. First stop was Wat Pa Khantivudhum. https://maps.app.goo.gl/PHp3nWKt8EKvq3iw7 From here I rode south trying to find the trails alongside the lake, but although on Google maps I did not have much luck, so I looped back and around a lot finding tracks to here. https://maps.app.goo.gl/fz7rux63vyc894oE7 I then followed the lakeside taking tracks as much as I could before finding small roads winding back into Chiang Rai. A good ride. https://www.relive.cc/view/vPOpDJoPeRO
Popular Post chrissables
Today my goal was to find Ban Lee Pha Kao viewpoint. https://maps.app.goo.gl/vPgnmW6jTPp2HRJ57 The route Google sent me was via The Elephant Peace Project https://maps.app.goo.gl/3THMqxu6Dx73QQSr8 It was a fairly easy track, greasy in places after the recent rain. Google sent me up a track that got steeper and more narrow until I arrived at a cemetery. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ryMwJUaSyp1mfa9X7 I was in first gear and struggling and after the cemetery the track was to steep for the CT125. So I rode back down and continued on into the jungle until I got to the end, where walking was the only way forward. https://maps.app.goo.gl/QnH7cN3971EwuTQA8 I rode back and decided to loop around the airport on gravel tracks. I’m not sure if the viewpoint can be accessed from the north side, if anyone knows, please let me know. https://www.relive.cc/view/vQvx53o2QBO

chrissables
Today I went looking for some new tracks, but my first stop was at Wat Phra That Si Wiang Mun. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Rp5T9RuTKw9R3uEr8 I then carried on riding west before south at Ban Mai Charoen and on to Ban A Mae. https://maps.app.goo.gl/VggeYoDyQiJFY5xU9 From here it was sandy and rocky tracks with stream crossings until I was told by a local farmer that I could not continue as it was very difficult and steep, here. https://maps.app.goo.gl/XxNfsd5NZXqFYF8F8 He was a nice guy and after chatting shook my hand and said “God bless you.” Obviously a Christian Hill Tribe family. https://www.relive.cc/view/vr63Q49Y8dv
