Deputy national police chief Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn is due to visit Yangon today for talks with Myanmar authorities to discuss how to   return 162 Thai nationals evacuated from an area in northern Shan State that borders China... 

The group had been involved in working for a Chinese gang running an  internet scam. General Surachate said some had been victims of human trafficking while others had been tricked into working for the gang.

 

Officers from The Department of National Parks in Petchabun,  found a warehouse filled with  logs of wood worth about 33 million baht.. 

They found large tree trunks from a local national park and burmese rosewood in storage, probably destined to be smuggled to neighboring countries.

Officers made one arrest while four others escaped.

 

 

Rescuers managed to rescue a 47 year old man who had fallen down a vertical cave in Tak province, the man had been missing for 5 days, he was weak and exhausted, and is recovering in hospital.

 

The government is conducting a study to determine a salary increase for civil servants and state enterprise personnel, the Budget Bureau is set to discuss and forward the proposal to the cabinet before the end of the month.
