The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it remains committed to facilitating the repatriation of Thai citizens from Israel, following the closure of a coordination center set up at the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv.

Some 20,000 Thai workers have chosen to stay on in Israel while around 10,000 have been repatriated.

 

A van driver accused of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl surrendered to police, yesterday denying the allegations. The incident allegedly took place on October 1st when the girl's parents hired the van to transport her from Khon Kaen to Bangkok.

Investigations continue.

Conservationists are opposing plans for the construction of seven dams in Nakhon Nayok and Prachin Buri, citing concerns about the environmental impact on 16,000 rai of land. They question the government's ability to manage water resources and address environmental issues responsibly.

The domestic airline  Thai Smile, Established in 2011, will cease operations in January and transfer its assets and employees to an in-house division under Thai Airways. . This move is expected to reduce Thai Airways' operating costs by approximately 20%.

Police in Petchaburi responded to a reported shooting at a bullfighting arena last night. They were joined by medical personnel and volunteers from a local rescue foundation.. The body of a 42-year-old bullfight organizer was found with four gunshot wounds, several spent 9mm cartridges were recovered as evidence. One 29-year-old spectator was injured and taken to the hospital.
