The Fugitive Posted November 28, 2023 Share Posted November 28, 2023 Today received notification from VYKE (my VOIP provider) stating that a mobile number I haven’t used since 2016 has now joined Vyke. Vyke told me this notification is sent when someone with my ‘phone number in their contacts has joined Vyke so they can call or message me for free. My old mobile number now belongs to another Vyke customer. There is, of course, no security risk. Trying to get my head around this; Does this mean someone with my virtual Vyke number in their contacts who has coincidentally been allocated my old recycled mobile number has now signed up with Vyke?
