Paetongtarn ‘Too Ashamed’ To Tell Truth Or Lie About Her Father’s ‘Illnesses’

PHEU THAI LEADER PAETONGTARN Shinawatra would be “too ashamed” to say anything either truthful or untruthful about the “illnesses” of her father/de facto Pheu Thai boss-cum-convict at large Thaksin Shinawatra, according to a former Democrat MP.

Thepthai Senapong today (Dec.7) posted on his Facebook page to allege that Thaksin’s daughter would be “too ashamed” to tell the truth or a lie about her father who may have considerably recovered from the undisclosed “illnesses” but yet has been staying in a tight-security, private ward at Police Hospital for three and a half months now.

Paetongtarn declined on Tuesday to respond to reporters’ questions about her father’s latest health condition for fear that what she might otherwise have said could probably be untruthful and no longer justify his extended stay at the hospital, the former lawmaker said.

The Pheu Thai leader would understandably prefer to not say anything for fear that her comment on her father could have otherwise contradicted the truth and refuelled criticism of him, Thepthai said. Paetongtarn apparently chose to remain tightlipped and instead of responding with words she only shook her head, wagged her forefinger and smiled.

Stay silent and confirm it!

Could it be that the apple fell far, far from the lying, cheating and self-serving tree?...

Is there anybody out there who expects the truth out of her mouth or the mouth of any Shinawatra?

To be fair, which of us would speak the truth if it meant our fathers would go to (Thai) jail?

Should not be her call nor responsibility......

It is the Great Loss Of Face, that all Thais have. Don't you know?

I guess us foreign people just will never understand Thailands people.

That is just my humorous statement for today.

She is the leader of the PT party, of course she has responsibility to uphold the law and ensure it is equal among all Thais.

She should not be responsible in the decision as to whether her father remains in hospital. If she is complicit in some deceit in that respect your comment is very much on topic.

Woohoo! Burning news direct from a facebook page of a former MP, from a party that can't win elections, but depends on gang green to keep it relevant. Might as well flog it to farangs ... maybe they will think it is news.

Best for her not to say anything, let the corrections department do the explaining. I think we all have a pretty good idea what's going on with the "sick man".

Shame is  something unknown by all the Shinawatra family

Thaksin has nothing that justifies his prolonged stay in the hospital .

She knows this and prefers not to talk about it .

That is the most intelligent decision for her , even if it is somehow confirming that her father has no illness worth talking about .

Would you tell the world your illnesses and diseases...Not even your doctor...

This muppet (progeny of Squarehead) now being mooted as Thailand's next PM, according to Pheu Thai's secretary general.

Confirming what everyone knew already, that Srettha is just a lame duck avatar of Thaksin, and that PT are the antithesis of democracy.

What??? I hope you never get ill or at least your doctor is a mind reader! Crazy statement! :whistling:

Thai people are not stupid they all know that there is absolutely nothing wrong with him and that a deal has been negotiated long before he set foot back in Thailand . When the next GE come along the Thai public will show there annoyance towards this individuals party by voting them out of power until then they will keep there silence

She didn't want to lie so it's better to say nothing.

We all presume that there's nothing wrong with Thaksin.

Maybe not much wrong with him to warrant his stay in hospital.

Whatever you think about Thaksin, and I do believe a lot of what you say about him, just don't forget there is an ex soldier who led an illegal coup and stayed in power for nine years backed up by soldiers, guns, and tanks and even today he is walking about free and stinking rich.

Why is he not arrested and tried in a Thai court for what he did? Would he still be backed up by Thai soldiers and their guns and tanks?

If he is sick - then the easiest and most transparent way to end all of this is to release some form of medical update. That would end the gossip - you could argue it is confidential information, but equally the public does have a justifiable interest in this case. Lets not forget Taksin is an Ex PM, brother of another Ex-PM and father of the leader of the largest party in government. There is a justifiable reason to provide an update on his condition to the public.

The ansence of an update clearly shows the public interest (and potentially the law)  is being purposely ignored which only leads to the question Why?

Good luck getting that recently appointed Privy Counselor in court of law.  Privy Conselor = untouchable. End of story.

Yes of course, like all those in positions of wealth or power here, they are subject to a different set of rules and laws. (If any at all).
