Lampang—On December 6th, 2023, Pol. Lt. Gen. Kritthaphon Yisakorn, the Deputy Commander of Provincial Police Region 5, and relevant officials held a press conference on the arrest of two alleged drug smugglers with more than 1.3 million amphetamine pills in Mae Phrik, Lampang.

The two alleged suspects were publicly identified only as Mr. Worapot, 43, and Mr. Chainarong, 43.

According to a report by Mae Phrik police officers, an anonymous source reported that there were two vehicles suspected of drug smuggling. However, as the suspected vehicles approached a police checkpoint, they made a U-turn and zoomed off, said the police.

A U-turn in a desperate attempt to get away.
