snoop1130
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is considering transferring the operation of three elevated train lines to the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRT). They are the Gold Line, between Thonburi and Khlong San, the Watcharaphol-Rama 9-Tha Phra Grey Line and the Bang Na-Suvarnabhumi airport Blue Line extension. Currently, the MRT is the operator of the Blue, Yellow, Orange, Purple and Pink lines. Classic Ray
This is a matter of semantics. For example, the Pink and Yellow Lines are operated by NBM and EBM (subsidiaries of a BTS led consortium) under a 30 year concession agreement from the owners of the infrastructure, MRTA. 1

They talk about "transferring" operation, yet the Grey Line doesn't exist, and a "Bang Na-Suvarnabhumi airport Blue Line extension" not only doesn't exist, but doesn't seem possible, since the Blue Line doesn't go to either of those endpoints. Meanwhile, there is no explanation of how or why operation of the Gold Line would be taken away from BTSC, other than some cryptic word salad about advertising revenues.

Crossy
They can't even get a photo of any of the current lines to use in the article It's all about BMA offloading their current lumps of infrastructure onto MRTA, for passengers it really won't make any difference.
