On December 20th, 2023, Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, the Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports, publicly revealed the cumulative number of foreign tourists from January 1st of 2023 to December 20th of 2023 was at 26,455,680 people, generating income of more than 1.1 trillion baht.

The top five nationalities visiting Thailand were Malaysian, Chinese, Russian, Korean, and Indian.

More than 104,838 Malaysian tourists reportedly visited Thailand during the past week, from December 11th to the 17th, as it was a school vacation in Malaysia, said Sudawan.

ok, but the title is silly. It has nothing to do with new night time hours, which began on december 15th.

The 26.4 M tourists number wasn't made between the 15th and 20th....Just get the facts right here, writer...

This week's Tattery!

Just under the 26.55 million they hit in 2013...

My head spins between the tourism is dead, and tourism is record breaking TAT drivel.

What I do know is that high season in Phuket is not as busy as it used to be and many of the local businesses are quite vocal about it.
