Looks pretty upscale for me.  I kind of like the Federal also there on Soi 11 but not so far down:  www.federalbangkok.com

It's somewhat downscale by comparison but I've stayed there 4-5 times in the last year.  Decent coffee shop, I'll be there for lunch tomorrow, handy meeting place.

Yeah, the Fenix is alright, lots of choice in this price-bracket, but not a bad pick and centrally located.

I live a block away and walk by this place daily. I'll tell you this much, it don't look like a hotel. If I were going to book a hotel in the area, I'd pay a little more for a better one like the President Soliaire nearby.

Yes it's opposite Q Bar. Pretty nice hotel actually from reviews I've come across.

it's a boutique hotel managed by Accor...good value for money (around 2000Baht and less)
