My daughter just sent me 45k baht but it never came. She used Promptpay, saying it showed my name and phone number but I can't remember ever using Promptpay. Does anyone have any advice on who to conatact - her bank, my bank, PP?

I would hazard a guess that your daughter, being the sender, would need to initiate any contact to find out where the money is.

 

The start point would be where she initiated the transfer.

Have you actually set up PromptPay for your bank account?

 

You should be able to check if it's enabled via your online banking app.

She can prove where she sent it, receipt, contact her bank,  it's instant

I just went to the ATM to check an old BKK Bank account, as I don't have online banking with it -  and it's there. Phew.

The Russian next door is obviously up and running.

Is it maybe some sort of scam? Why did your daughter send you the money? My kids never send me money unless;ess I request it specifically.

One thing I can't figure out is how to send the funds from the ATM to my other account.
