snoop1130 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 BANGKOK (NNT) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has hosted the 'Amazing Thailand Product Update 2024' in Jakarta and Bandung, aiming to enhance collaboration between Thai and Indonesian tourism professionals. The event, held last week, attracted about 100 Indonesian tourism professionals in each city, focusing on business negotiations and updates on Thai tourism. The Thai delegation included 20 businesses from various sectors, including hotels, airlines, and hospitals. The focus was on health and wellness, sports, and responsible tourism. Sirinard Chatsupakul, Director of the TAT Jakarta Office, said the event helped promote sustainable tourism and strong business relationships between the two countries. The gathering, which was attended by Prapan Disyatat, the Thai Ambassador to Indonesia, and representatives from Team Thailand, also sought to establish comprehensive partnerships across the tourism industry. With Jakarta and Bandung being key economic hubs in Indonesia, and direct flights available to Bangkok, Indonesia represents an important tourist market for Thailand. In 2023, Indonesia was the 13th largest source of tourists to Thailand, with numbers expected to increase in 2024.
