In another thread in Real Estate (not a dedicated one, probably one of 30+ pages about buying a condo) that complex was slaughtered by several posters as a wreck beyond repair.

Any chance linking me to that thread on Wittayu complex, please. Thanks.

I was wondering why they never say about parking space in their ads, now I understand.

Just did search in Real Estate section: the place was doomed 2 years ago, that's how old some posts are. In fact, if the posts are referring to something 3 years earlier, it's 5 years now:

If you are still unable to link to it, two posts were :

"I've seen Witthaya complex and sorry for The_Moog (if he lives there), but I don't think that is any comparison to Athenee Residence or Park Chidlom. I don't know when that place was built but my guess is they still have units left for sale. I didn't particularly like the idea of collecting parking fee for the visitors there (not to mention office-like parking lot that's not even in the same building). But I believe even at Witthayu complex, they were selling the units for B50 - 60K psm when I was in the market 3 years ago."

"Witthayu Complex was one of first buildings that I looked at 3 years ago. Since then, the prices have dropped considerably: the building is in serious disrepair, the lobby has recently been rebuilt - obviously designed by a color-blind interior decorator, it has no greenery, it's next to a shanty town and a polluted canel, it's surrounded by asphalt, and it's next to a building that has been abandoned since 1977. OnAs for Wittayu Complex, I'm often amazed at the prices asked for units advertized in Bangkok Post - like about 50-60k per sq.m. Presumably no units are actually ever sold at those prices. I'm not sure but I thought it was a condo that was stalled in the '97 crisis and then eventually got finished but has always been likely to stuggle. Agree with ExpatinAsia that it is a miserable location, next to slums, experessway and lots of traffic, and a fair hike to the nearest Skytrain station. Just because a place has a "central" location it might not be a good one."

Hi Member,

Could you please provide details of the required unit at Wittayu Complex (size, bed/bath, budget etc.)

Also how about other apartments in nearby area, do you interest? Please advise.

P.S. We are a freelance team, and pleased to serve you to look for the required unit.

Thanks,

Stay away from Witthayu Complex! Have lots of friends who bought units there and are complaining about the services and the maintenance of the building. Khun Sompoj and Khun Waranyam the owners cum developers of the complex are total jerks! (She is the daughter of the owner of the Four Wings Hotel), She also owns the Adraitic Palace Hotel in front and another in Pattay(which collapsed finacially.) Along with certain structural problems in some units the owners also control the juristic management and are not at all service-orientated. The owners stay at the Penthouse above and there are still alot of unsold units form the beginning plus there are many initial owners just dying to sell off their units. If u still wanna stay there, negotiate and hunt carefully as they are numerous owners willing to get rid of their units fast!
