nglodnig
Good luck with that. The ISP modem is switched off - maybe there's a secret SIM card in the laptop 🙂 I have left my job and out of the country so it's not physically possible to switch them on even if I wanted to. Maybe they'll use black magic or ESP?
OneMoreFarang
And if you are so sure nothing can happen, what's your point of this post? If it is a work laptop from your ex-employer, then you should give it back to them.

Which I will when I get back and copy all my personal stuff off first which they have not warned me before I left the country that I should do it. 11 minutes ago, OneMoreFarang said: what's your point of this post? Sorry posts have to have a "point" now? Um, your point being? When I get back I will post the device to them.

Well yep.. posts usually have a point... of course, posts don't have to have a point, but then they seem just random as yours did. 1
Captain Monday
They have you a laptop and then nicked it? I have an iPad from my company that is very closely administered. They can wipe it anytime can and probably Brick it permanently !
ozimoron
If they control apple gear remotely they are using mosyle or one it's offshoots if your employer is a school. They can reset to factory specs but not brick the computer or iPad. Edited January 30 by ozimoron
KhunHeineken
There is a lot of software out there that does similar to this. Not only can the owner, in your case your former employer, wipe the drive, but they can also know your geographic location. https://homeoffice.absolute.com
