Hello to all TV members -

I have had high blood pressure and finally getting round to treating it. I had tests a few months ago at Pattaya Memorial which confirmed I have high BP, won't bore you with details...

I wanted to see if I could lower my BP thru behavior sooooooo... I left Thailand for a month and stopped drinking, taken lots of heavy walking excercise and stopped eating Thai food (due to salt). I smoke a bit - cut down to about one cigarette a day and ate oatmeal for breakfast every morning. made no darn difference!

The quality of the path tests at Pattaya Memorial were fine but the doctor just blew me off. Looked at the tests, told me this and that I already knew. The tests did show me in fine condition save for the BP.

Where am I going w/ this?

I need to go on meds obviously so I am shopping for a doctor I can work with. I do not want to go anywhere near BKK/Pattaya Hosp. I am sure I'll have to try a few b4 we get the correct meds for me.

Any idea how to move this forward? I'm thinking of going to Pattaya Int'l

It's my diastolic that's really out of wack - does anyone know what are the first, cheapest meds perscribed?

I'm also worried about the meds that are diuretics (sp) as it is so hot here I don't need to lose any more water than need be.

Thank to any and all
