If Move Forward was a rebellious teenager and its rivals were the parents, Wednesday’s ruling by the Constitutional Court was a “You are grounded” order, to say the least. No outsider can really tell who is right and who is wrong.

 

Ones can be forgiven if they think the ruling was a lot stronger than “You are grounded”. The wording was close to physical slapping, actually. It paves the way for further legal actions that can bring about very serious consequences.

 

It’s “You are grounded” because since the court says that what Move Forward has done is undoubtedly wrong, it shall never be repeated again. It’s close to face-slapping because Move Forward, apart from feeling hard done by, can end up at the wrong end of a crackdown being cooked up by those opposed to its ideas.

People are not happy but they cannot say anything or they too go to gaol. It is hard to know who to trust, if you are a Thai and would like to discuss this topic! There are still a lot of people who strongly support the views of the Court.

THe CC should only check if the laws are properly used an confirm with the other laws. In this case, a law was made centuries ago as in many other countries to protect the monarch from insult and defamation. Other cultures and monarchies have also lese majestic laws, but they are upgraded and changed as times changes too. Everybody will change their phone, color of their house, a new car, without any meaning to destroy. Indeed the CC can rule that the law of 112 is meant to protect the monarch. However the problems about section 112 started when the Government used it to silence protesters, as they called that they felt be abandoned. So a clear update is very needed to prevent abuse of this section started with the Prayuth Government. But now the court has silenced everybody and that is not their job

This is possibly the most puerile article, and I say article in the very loosest terms, that I've ever seen on here. We are talking about democracy, corruption and the dictatorship of the elite. This rubbish appears to be written by an infantile AI program. Should never see the light of day this complete and utter rubbish and should be deleted from this forum.
