It was important to her to have her shrine set up so it is in a prominent place in my apt. Her daughter walked in yesterday and i noticed quite a shock on her face when you saw the shrine,she really did a double take. She came back later that night for a visit with her thai student boyfriend. They both said they were scared of buddha shrine? I wonder is this guilt for not observing or what? My lady is not what i would call a devout temple goer ,more just for luck than anything i think. Just interested in anyone elses experiences. May be that has made her scared I dont think so. Lek says its because often in thailand the parents scare the kids when they are naughty or recalcitrant that buddha will get them.
