rhino533
Quick question. My Mom is here from Canada. She is staying with my wife and I at our house for a month. Do we have to fill out a TM30 form? She has a 30 day entry stamp. Thank for any replies!

Popular Post Red Phoenix
If your Mom flies back to Canada before the expiry date of the 30-day Permission to stay she received on entering Thailand, there is no need for her to get hold of a TM-30. Such 'notification of address while in Thailand' is only required when she would be applying at a local Imm Office for an extension of stay. Note that according to Thai law, YOU are supposed to notify your local Imm Office that a foreigner (your Mom) is staying at your premises. But unless you have some strife with one of your neighbours, who would tip off Immigration that a foreigner is staying at your house, there is no way Immigration would know about it (and even if they knew, they would probably just ignore the 'breach' as it is just a short family-member stay).
Popular Post edwardflory
""Note that according to Thai law, YOU are supposed to notify your local Imm Office that a foreigner (your Mom) is staying at your premises."" The above says it all. I have personally filed a TM-30 when I moved addresses, and, when I had visitors ( filed within 24 hours , took 15 minutes ) from the USA stay with me. The reason being: I do not want MY Extension of Stay ( 10+ years ) put in jeopardy in any way - I have no "dings" on my immigration record and plan to keep it that way. 1 1 1 2
Toby1947
Just arrived across the border from Laos was required to fill out a TM30. On initial arrival at BKK from UK a couple of months ago no requirement of TM30.

TM6 is still used at land border crossings but not when arriving by air.

natway09
Your wife (who I presume owns the property) is supposed to fill in a Tm30 within 24 hours, but unless a person is going to seek an extension past & beyond the 30 day on arrival visa exempt I would ignore in particular as no Tm 6 on arrival, they have no idea where she is or supposed to be now. but to get technical ?
