CHIANG MAI, Feb 9 (TNA) – The golden dragon parade is one of the highlight of the Chinese New Year celebration in the northern province of Chiang Mai while Chinese tourists dressed in Thai traditional attire, taking photos at the iconic Tha Phae gate.

The atmosphere in Chiang Mai during the Chinese New Year festival featured lion and golden dragon dance troupes from Bangkok, captivating audiences as they paraded through the streets, as they paraded through the streets. Store owners invited them inside to bring good luck and prosperity.

First fire crackers in my neighbourhood at dawn. Hat Yai city is festooned with Chinese lanterns and packed with Malaysian holidaymakers.

😂Thais are becoming more and more Chinese each year.  They should start to celebrate it for 21 days like Songkran.

Do you have a link?

I don't hear many disparaging comments when they celebrate Christmas, Halloween or St. Patrick's Day, which are far more remotely connected to Thai culture than CNY.

Sinophobia is rife here.

This is one of the cultural festivities that makes Thailand interesting to me. I enjoy CNY and other Chinese influenced celebrations that have been filtered through into Thailand.
